Time Remembering.......

I often wonder what my children will remember from their childhood. What will their first memory be....will it be of something simple from everyday life or will it be a big event that happened. Will it be something from a happy occasion or will it be something that caused heartache....I wonder......

I was able to catch a moment in Carter's day that melted my heart. He took a Walt Disney World scrapbook that I made from our trip last August and was laying on the dining room floor reading it. I first noticed him because I heard his giggling.... It was so sweet! Carter may not really remember our trip to Disney last August.....but I am sure that what he sees in the scrapbook he likes!!!!

A Rarity.....

It is very rare that I am in a page that I scrap..... The main reason why is the most obvious....because I am the one taking the pictures. The second reason is not as obvious.....I forget to ask other people to take photos of me. In 2011, I am making an effort to have pictures taken of myself.

A Chilly Monday.....

Today was a cold day.....I mean a really cold day! When I woke up this morning it was -4 degrees outside!! In my opinion, that is not a safe temp to be outside in! Since it is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day I decided that it was a day where we would not go anywhere...including outside! We had a great day just hanging out. I actually took a good part of Carter's nap time and changed out the boys clothes. Max is now wearing a size 5 and Jacob is in a size 7....so the great wardrobe switch-over took place! We have some strange weather coming through in the next couple of days...I hope we don't lose power!! All in all, it was a fabulous day!

My Little Safari Man

Some people take for granted a child's imagination......something I have never been able to do with my Jacob. Just recently, he has developed an imagination that just makes me smile. He takes simplistic things and is very creative. He has decided that he is a Safari Man. He was rushing around the house very intent on finding some very specific things. He wouldn't reveal to me what he was doing until he found everything he was looking for. The reveal of what he was doing just made me laugh. I am loving the innocence of his new found imagination!

Time Flies......

I know that it sounds really cliche but time flies...... If you aren't careful it will pass before you without you even realizing it! Time sure has flown by during Paul's school vacation. Today was his last day off before we all begin the rigorous schedule of Paul....lol....He works full time, goes to graduate school full time and has 16 hours of clinicals to go to. It isn't anything that I like.....LOL.... I have a difficult time taking care of everything at home by myself....but I seem to do it! LOL. We have had such a wonderful time in the last month or so that it is really sad to see it end. I am hoping that my commitment to Project 365 will help him see the day to day things that he misses while he is gone.

Congratulations Nolan and Trisha

Whenever I attend a wedding I am reminded of how important the vows of marriage are..... It is nice to be reminded of what I so often take for granted..... Today, Paul and I attended my brother, Nolan's wedding to his bride, Trisha. For day 2 of my Project 365, I have chosen a photo that I took of them at their wedding.... Congratulations to Nolan and Trisha, may your marriage be full of love and happiness!!!

Project 365

Today I started my 1st of my 365 day commitment to chronicle my family through photos and some days journaling using My Memories Suite program to help me..... I have always wanted start this....2011 is going to be the year that I do it.

Today is January 1, 2011 (1/1/11).....it was a very relaxing day at home....we didn't go anywhere.....the children stayed in their jammies for most of the day and I was dressed in a comfy fleece with my hair up....not really worried about how I look....more concerned about comfort today!!! Today was a work day for Paul....but to our surprise and excitement he was called a 5:00am and asked if he wanted to use his vacation time to have the day off because they were overstaffed......We jumped at the chance to have 1 more day together with any outside obligation before he goes back to school full time and work full time and our crazy life starts up again.....It was a nice relaxing day..... Part of Project 365 is that you need to take at least one photograph a day and scrap it in some way..... I decided that January 1st should be a family photo...and since I had no intention of making us look great my having coordinating outfits or nicely combed hair, we all piled on the couch and I took the picture with my outstretched arm. So, here's to Project 365 and 2011!
