Great Day for a Tea Party

Today was a great day for lounging around. We are expected to have a pretty big storm coming our way, so we just laid low and had a great day at home. Katie had her first tea party with all her friends. The boys were not interested in joining her, but she had a fabulous time!

A Gingerbread House

We had so much fun making our Christmas tree that we decided to do a Gingerbread house. We had an absolute blast making the house!

You Can't Just Have One Christmas Dress

I always knew that having a little girl would be fun, but I didn't know it would be this much fun! Katie wears a dress nearly everyday. It is probably a good thing because she has several Christmas dresses! We are enjoying them all!

My Little Angel

I don't have too many photos of me as a baby. However, I am lucky enough to have a few things that mean a lot! Here is a photo of Katie wearing a dress that MY Grammy made me for my very first Christmas in 1975. It is a very special thing to me because my grandmother is the person who taught me how to sew. She was a very special woman that, sadly, we lost when I was only 19 years old. I cannot begin to imagine how much she would have loved on little Katie if she were still with us today! I miss her, but it makes my heart happy to see my little Katie wearing something that she stitched with lots and lots of love!

Decorating Our Tree (Part 2)

Katie was taking her nap while we did most of the tree decorating. The boys were pretty upset that "she didn't get to help". We solved that problem by saying that it was Katie's job to put the Minnie angel on top of the tree!

A Little Visitor

We have welcomed Buddy to our home. He is our Elf on the Shelf. We plan to have lots of fun with Buddy trying to find where he hides! He will help us countdown to Christmas!

Our Last Day at Walt Disney World

We were lucky enough to have an extended vacation at Walt Disney World because of Hurrican Sandy. Here is a photo of our last day. We chose to go to Disney's Hollywood Studios because it was a quick walk from our resort. It was a fabulous vacation!

We have so much fun meeting the characters. This vacation we had the chance to meet Sully and Mike. We have never had a chance to meet them before and had a great time playing around with them!

Disney is October is amazing! Our first night at Walt Disney World was spent Downtown having some fun. We took a boat ride, did a bit of shopping and had a great time! We are so glad to be here!

I Miss Him!

It still hasn't sunk in the Max is in kindergarten. I miss my shopping buddy! I could always count on him to remind me what we needed to buy. I could always count on him to remind me that it was almost lunchtime. I could always count on him to make me laugh! I miss him!

Apple Pickin'

As much as we hate to see summer end, we LOVE apple picking! We are always so glad to hear that Doles Orchard is open for pickin'!

A Wonderful Labor Day!

Today was a wonderful day! We got to spend it at Range Pond with some of our most favorite people! Beth, Mom, Aunt Kathy, and Roland spent the day with us at Range Pond. We ate lots of great food and had lots of laughs!

The First Day of School..... always exciting!

The first day of school is always exciting and today was NO exception! Jacob started 2nd grade and Maxwell started kindergarten! I got the pleasure to be able to go with Max for his first day of school and it was just awesome!

Maxwell Meets Mrs. Jones

Where has the time gone? My Maxwell is about to start kindergarten. Last week he had the opportunity to meet his kindergarten teacher before the first day of school. He was very nervous, but I think he is going to have a great year! I can't wait to hear all about his kindergarten adventures!
